Renovation and widening of the Petersberg Tunnel

The Petersberg Tunnel in Germany no longer complied with modern requirements. This is why Deutsche Bundesbahn commissioned us with its renovation. Both the demolition of the old tunnel and the construction of the new tunnel needed to be carried out while the tunnel was still in service, i. e. under live overhead contact line systems. Marti significantly expanded the scope of tunnel rehabilitation with its specially developed tunnel-in-tunnel method.
