From housing to schools, from museums to infrastructure: exposed concrete is also part of Marti’s DNA. Discover with #ExposedConcrete a selection of our projects where technical precision meets architectural ambition.
The multipurpose building complex, offering a total area of some 22,000 square metres and capacity for around 12,400 people, underwent a phased renovation between 2013 and 2018. The entrance area was relocated to the tram stop, where a covered forecourt now leads to the foyer. Behind the high concrete frontage, one discerns the roof set with domes; its height – from 3.65 to 4.65 metres – provides ample space to house the building’s technical installations as well as various public areas. The roof was constructed of in-situ concrete using state-of-the-art prestressing technology. Exposed concrete with white cement was used for the façade and domes.
