CERN – extension particle accelerator
Geneva, Switzerland
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European nuclear research center CERN in Geneva is the world’s largest particle accelerator. Back in 2018, CERN launched the High Luminosity (HiLu) project, with the objective of vastly expanding the LHC’s capabilities. The particle accelerator was shut down while Marti was tackling part of this expansion. In April 2022, however, protons were already racing around the ring again.
